Yash Explains New Strategy Behind Toxic
“Toxic,” starring Yash, was earlier considered one of the biggest upcoming Indian films, with high expectations of crossing Rs 1000 crore.
The film was first planned for a March release then moved to June 4th and later postponed without a new date.
There were rumors that the delay happened because the makers had not finalized an OTT deal, as streaming platforms were not ready to meet the expected price. However, Yash has now clarified the real reason.
He said the delay is part of a planned strategy. The team wants to complete the film first and then approach distributors, similar to the Hollywood model, instead of closing deals during production.
Directed by Geetu Mohandas, Toxic is Yash’s first major film after the blockbuster KGF series.
